Phantom Fireworks Exterior
Case Study: Phantom Fireworks Exterior Painting
Project Overview
When Phantom Fireworks in Upland needed a refresh, this wasn’t your typical commercial repaint. This project called for bold, high-impact color that matches the energy of the brand – something rarely seen in residential or even most commercial settings.
At CertaPro Painters® of the Main Line, we embraced the challenge: deliver a finish that’s not just durable, but visually unforgettable.
The Challenge
This project required more than just painting – it demanded precision coordination across multiple substrates, colors, and coatings.
- Highly visible retail location with strong brand identity
- Multiple surface types: stucco, metal, and concrete block
- Complex color layout with bold purples, accents, and safety colors
- Tight need for consistency across different finishes and materials
Unlike a standard repaint, this project had zero room for inconsistency – every surface had to complement the overall look while performing under commercial conditions.
Our Approach
We built a system around organization, sequencing, and product selection to ensure a seamless execution.
Surface-Specific Coatings:
- Stucco (main facade): Sherwin-Williams Latitude – Flat
- Metal surfaces (awnings, doors, details): DTM Satin
- Concrete block areas: Sherwin-Williams Latitude – Satin
Color & Detail Work:
- Signature purple exterior to match brand identity
- Accent panels (square features above awnings) in green and yellow DTM satin
- Doors: DTM Satin Grey (including side entry)
- Safety bollards: DTM Satin Safety Yellow
With so many coatings and colors in play, tight workflow control was critical. Our team ensured the right products were applied to the right surfaces – at the right time – without slowing down production.
The Result
The transformation speaks for itself.
- A vibrant, high-energy storefront that aligns perfectly with the Phantom Fireworks brand
- Clean, consistent finishes across multiple materials
- Improved durability and protection for a high-traffic commercial property
- Most importantly, the project delivers what we aim for every time:
- Renewed pride in the property and a stronger first impression for customers
Why It Stands Out
This wasn’t just a paint job – it was a logistical and technical execution:
- Multiple coatings applied across different substrates
- Bold, non-traditional color palette
- High visibility retail environment
- Heavy emphasis on team coordination and efficiency
Projects like this highlight what sets our team apart:
The ability to handle complexity without sacrificing quality or speed
