Rec-Center Repaint in Conway, AR

CertaPro Painters of Central Arkansas

The Conway Expo Center in Central Arkansas

During the recent holiday break at the end of December, CertaPro Painters of Central Arkansas undertook a significant renovation project at The Conway Parks and Recreation Expo Center. The project was completed within a concise timeframe of just six days, demonstrating our team’s ability to deliver high-quality results efficiently.

Located in Conway, Arkansas, the Conway Expo Center is a 5700 square foot facility that hosts a variety of community events and functions. For this project, our task was to enhance the men’s and women’s restrooms by removing outdated fixtures and applying new finishes to the walls.

Initial Conditions and Preparation

Upon beginning our work, we assessed the condition of the facility which was generally well-maintained. The specific focus for this project involved removing unused hand dryers and fiberglass-reinforced plastic (FRP) panels from the restrooms. These elements were no longer necessary and removing them helped to streamline and update the space.

Project Details

The renovation involved several key tasks:

• Demolition: We carefully removed the hand dryers and FRP panels. This step was crucial for preparing the surfaces for further repair and refinishing.
• Sheetrock Repair: Post-demolition, various holes and imperfections in the sheetrock were exposed. Our skilled team performed detailed repairs to ensure a smooth and uniform surface.
• Painting: The final step involved applying a pre-catalyzed epoxy to the walls. This type of paint was chosen for its durability and ease of maintenance, making it ideal for high-traffic areas such as public restrooms.

Challenges and Solutions

Handling a project during a holiday break presents unique challenges, particularly around timing and resource availability. Our team’s expertise in project management ensured that all tasks were coordinated efficiently, avoiding any delays. The swift completion of the project, from initial demolition to final touches, highlights our commitment to effective planning and execution.

Results and Impact

The renovation of the Conway Expo Center restrooms has not only improved the aesthetics but also the functionality of the space. The modern, clean look, complemented by durable materials like pre-catalyzed epoxy, ensures that the restrooms can withstand heavy use during events without requiring excessive maintenance.

This project at the Conway Expo Center is a testament to CertaPro Painters of Central Arkansas’s dedication to providing quality service and results.
